About the Solar Car Challenge

Inspiring the next generation of innovators in science, engineering, and sustainability through hands-on solar car racing.

Our Mission

The Solar Car Challenge Foundation empowers high school students to design, build, and race roadworthy solar cars. Our mission is to spark curiosity, foster teamwork, and promote alternative energy awareness by providing a safe, supportive environment for hands-on STEM learning.

Since 1993, we've helped over 75,000 students from 39 states and 5 countries discover their potential as future engineers, scientists, and leaders in sustainability.
